Last week we were retained by the family of Derek Seehausen. Derek disappeared on or about August 5, 2014. Derek is a senior medical student at the University of Southern California.
The family contacted the law enforcement community and their response was, quite frankly, very impressive. Interviews were conducted, homes were searched and bloodhounds were brought to Derek’s apartment. Numerous video camera feeds from businesses were reviewed and actually contained footage of Derek using an ATM and buying breakfast items at a store. Soon though, the clues were limited and leads were no more.
We have recharged the investigation and received a warm welcome at the Los Angeles Police Department last Wednesday. The detectives working this matter have multiple missing persons cases day after day. They are also limited by the fact that there is no overtime to work these matters.
We have conducted our own interviews and hope to have a press conference next week to get Derek some well-needed media attention. You can visit www.helpfindderek.com if you want to follow our efforts.
Derek is 26 years old, 6 feet tall, 180 lbs, and has hazel eyes.
